Stainless Steel Seamless Tube 309S is a high-performance austenitic stainless steel tube that contains high chromium (22-24%) and nickel (12-15%) content, making it highly resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and high-temperature environments. The “S” in 309S refers to the low carbon content in the alloy, which reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion during welding. This grade of stainless steel is particularly suitable for high-temperature applications, providing excellent strength, resistance to scaling, and crevice corrosion in environments up to 1,900°F (1,037°C).
